The unseen labour of coordinating tasks, people and breakdowns: what people do to link tasks that are otherwise separate. It appears in no job description because it is the condition of possibility of the tasks that do appear there.
Later work produced a directly transposable variant: articulation work performed from the middle, by those who bridge users and technology.
What it means for an SME running AI
